Magic and their Users

"The Judges say don't suffer a witch to live. Why the fuck should we care though?" – Red, Wandering Mithral Huntsmaster

While the common folk, Sanctuary, and Trenton would all have a witch or magic user burned on the spot for even possessing magic, sellswords as a group themselves have no stance on the matter. Sellswords, of course, vary from one to the other so some may have strong stances for or against the slaying of arcane users. Overall though, many have little care for the magic they possess, though they do view them with a bit of a wary eye. Spellcasters are held at a safe distance for many outside of their respective parties, but it is an unspoken rule within the guild to never out a fellow sellsword for the use of their magic. Doing so is considered a heinous betrayal of trust, and those sellswords that are found doing such things are often exiled from their local guild houses, or found dead within back alleys. Older sellswords have seen what mages can do, and so they are sure to treat the ones on their side well enough so as not to gather their ire. That said, sellswords in general are a superstitous lot, believing in good and bad luck; because of that you'll find that ravens and crows are treated very well by guild houses, as well as black cats.
